Anoka is located 20 miles northwest of Minneapolis. Total population is around 20,000 people. The City has a total area of 7.2 square miles with only .5 square miles of water. Anoka lies where the Rum River and Mississippi River meet. Anoka hosted one of the first Halloween parades in the country back in 1920 and the city has self proclaimed to be the Halloween capital of the world.
