Chaska is located southwest metro of the Twin Cities and lies in the Minnesota River Valley of Carver County. At a population of roughly 22,000, the city offers that “small town feeling” and was named the 8th best City to live in 2007 by CNNMoney.com. Chaska is also home of the Robert Trent Jones designed course Hazeltine National Golf Club, home of the 2009 PGA Championship and the 2016 Ryder Cup.
The City of Chaska has a total area of 14.3 square miles with 0.6 square miles of water.
Chaska is located in the Eastern Carver County District 112 which includes the City of Chaska, Chanhassen, Carver, Cologne, East Union, Excelsior and Victoria. There are 8 public schools located Chaska: one kindergarten center, three elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school.
Year to date through November Chaska has had 277 closed sales; this is down 2.1% from last year numbers. The median sale price is down 22.1% to $180,000, the average sale price is down 19.4% to $217,937 and the average days on market is down 5.5% to 133 days on market.
Year to date through November the Twin Cities as a whole has had 42,215 closed sales; this is up 17.3% from last year. The median sale price is down 15.8% to $168,000, the average sale price is down 16.8% to $199,020 and average days on market for the Twin Cities is down 8.6% to 138 days on market.
