Lately it seems my daily routine of showing bank-owned properties is coinciding with the nightly news. Over the last two years the majority of my business has been dealing with these types of deals. All along the way I have tried to figure out the banks reasoning behind every deal. There are days that I think I got the banks “dialed in” and then well another day comes along. Banks truly have no clue what it’s like in the streets and what each market looks like. In fact, I was told when Fannie Mae was in town last summer for a tour their directive at the end was to wash the windows in their properties prior to putting the for sale sign in the yard. Any of you that have shopped places like North Mpls know that the windows up there are so clean it’s as if there are no windows at all right?!?! And we wonder why Fannie needed a bailout.
